Joint Training!! Monday, 4/22/24, Luling VFD provided multi-department vehicle extrication "hands on" training. Members of Luling VFD, Hahnville VFD, Paradis VFD, and Bayou Gauche VFD participated. Luling VFD hosted a weekend fire school, April 12th and 13th, at the training facility located behind Central Station on Paul Maillard Road in Luling. The school consisted of a seminar on Friday evening followed by a HOT class titled “Commanding with Confidence” and was conducted by On Scene Training LLC. Just after 2 pm. Tuesday, 4/2/24, Luling VFD was dispatched to a garbage truck on fire in the Willowdale area. Arriving units advised that smoke was showing coming from the rear of the truck. Water began being applied. The contents of the truck was dumped to allow firefighters to locate the fire and extinguish utilizing foam. Multiple Department Training

As all departments are seeking additional volunteers and with mutual aid calls increasing, multi-department training is extremely important. On Monday, March 18th, Luling VFD, Hahnville VFD, Paradis VFD, and Bayou Gauche VFD participated in a multi-faceted training.
