Monday's training was Search and Rescue drills. Practicing techniques for making entry, search methods, and rescue methods.
Training Chief Stromeyer and those who attended the weekend fire school shared techniques with firefighters from Luling and Hahnville Fire Departments who were unable to attend the fire school.

Making entry included entering through a first floor window and a second floor window and searching for victims. Once a victim was found rescue techniques learned were utilized to rescue the victim and exit the structure utilizing the window. Training for Monday, March 31st, will consist of hands on training, hot drills, utilizing techniques learned and practiced on March 24th.
