In October, Luling VFD hosted a Weekend Fire School, Flowing on the River. We were honored to have Paul Combs as one of the instructors. In addition to being an instructor and a retired firefighter, Combs is also an accomplished artist whose art takes a critical and humorous view of social and cultural issues and flips them sideways to reinforce life-lessons on how we should act as humans and as leaders.

Luling VFD was recently presented a signed and framed piece of Combs’ artwork from the artist himself. We would like to extend our thanks to Combs for his generosity and will proudly display in our station.
