In conjunction with recent classroom training on Fire Ground Strategies, Search & Rescue, and Fire Behavior, firefighters from Luling VFD, Hahnville VFD, Killona VFD, Paradis VFD, Bayou Gauche VFD and St. Charles Parish 911 participated in practical training utilizing the strategies and techniques learned in that class.
Firefighters were divided into teams and followed a scenario which included search & rescue and fire suppression. Other members participated in the areas of Pump Ops, Safety, Command, and as instructors.
Rookie Firefighters and their instructors participated in fire behavior training.
The importance of joint training is apparent day in and day out as multiple departments work together to protect our community.
